What is the NDIS?

National Disability Insurance Scheme

The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)  provides about 460,000 Australians aged under 65, who have a permanent and significant disability with funding for supports and services. For many people, it will be the first time they receive the disability support they need.

The purpose of the NDIS is to support people with disability to pursue their goals and maximise their independence and social and economic participation, develop the capacity of people with disability to participate in the community and in employment and build a sustainable scheme that is based on insurance principles.

Our Appointments

What's involved?

Before booking in to see us, we'll need to get some information from you. You'll find referral forms under the "forms" tab at the top of this page. Simply download the required form, fill it out and return it to us via email to admin@reflectinghealth.com.au

We accept referral forms from participants of the NDIS, support coordinators or other professionals working on behalf of a participant of the NDIS.

Once we have all of your information, we'll be able to organise an appointment with one of our amazing clinicians and get the ball rolling so we can help you reach your goals.

Why do we ask you for your NDIS plan and/or funding hours?

There are a number of reasons that Reflecting Health requires this information, including:

  • This information must be included in a Service Agreement. This must be agreed upon and signed by the participant/representative prior to the commencement of services.

  • Where a participant is NDIA managed, Reflecting Health needs to place a service booking in the NDIA portal requesting that a certain amount of funding be put aside for our services for that year/plan period.

  • To ensure adequate funding for services requested, including travel time and administration.

  • To ensure accurate scheduling for Allied Health Professionals (ongoing appointments vs a one off assessment).

  • This information also assists us with allocating participant's to a clinician with appropriate availability.

How do we use the allocated funds?

Funding will be used to cover the following services:

  • Face to face therapy time (including telehealth), travel time (hours), travel (km’s), billable administration (including report writing, case notes, care team meetings, liaison (email, phone etc) regarding the participant’s therapy).

  • While a participant will be required to sign a service agreement for a set amount of funding to be used, Reflecting Health will only invoice a client for services actually provided. We will not invoice a participant for the total amount of hours on the service agreement if those hours are not used.

  • If a participant decides they no longer would like to utilise the entire amount agreed upon in their service agreement and would like to put them towards a different service instead, we are happy to release those funds upon request. We will not invoice for hours not actually used for our services.

  • If a participant would like to renegotiate the hours on a service agreement they can do so at any time.
